DESCRIPTION:The Popolo Consolidates its Collective Gifts\, Talents\, and Wisdom in a Sacred Container\nIn Damanhur’s sacred language\, the word “Get” means “god/force”; Damanhur Get represents the sacred force that the Popolo Spirituale creates and shares. During this ritual\, the Popolo’s collective talents\, gifts\, memories\, knowledge\, and other characteristics are consolidated\, offered up\, and sent into a common reservoir to be preserved and used later. Members of the Popolo can reach into this container and access any of these accumulated skills to enhance their own. \nThis beautiful ritual includes passing a reflecting mirror (with a Selfica instrument integrated into it) from one person to another. As each person “self-reflects”\, they connect more deeply with themselves and the important aspects of the soul. Typically\, participants receive higher guidance about themselves or about collective projects. The ritual concludes with everyone charging their Popolo bracelet (a simple pink string tied around your wrist) to fill the space with emotion and create a single alchemical element represented by those present. \nThis monthly event is focused on new achievements as a whole community. SUMMARY:Autumn Equinox
DESCRIPTION:The ritual of marking the transition between seasons of the year has been carried out on all continents since the beginning of human history. \nAt Damanhur\, the Equinoxes and Solstices are particularly sacred times of the year. The entire community celebrates these important events inside large stone circles. During the days of the ritual\, a fire is lit to represent the sun. During the Solstice\, another second fire symbolizes the moon. The ritual is divided into three phases: lighting\, culmination\, and extinguishing of the fire. \nDamanhurians enter the circle wearing robes of varying colors\, according to their seniority. They offer herbs to the fires\, meditate\, sing\, and recite hymns and prayers composed by Damanhurians. Most phases of the rituals are accompanied by music and Sacred Dance. \nThese are joyful occasions\, and guests are also welcome to join in by registering before 17:00 on Saturday\, September 20\, at the Damanhur Welcome Center. \nProgram:\n\n11:00 Welcome and introduction\n13:00 Equinox Ritual\n\nPrerequisites: Registration at the Welcome Center & prior visit to the Damjl area. During this ritual\, the Popolo’s collective talents\, gifts\, memories\, knowledge\, and other characteristics are consolidated\, offered up\, and sent into a common reservoir to be preserved and used later. Members of the Popolo can reach into this container and access any of these accumulated skills to enhance their own. \nThis beautiful ritual includes passing a reflecting mirror (with a Selfica instrument integrated into it) from one person to another. As each person “self-reflects”\, they connect more deeply with themselves and the important aspects of the soul. Typically\, participants receive higher guidance about themselves or about collective projects. The ritual concludes with everyone charging their Popolo bracelet (a simple pink string tied around your wrist) to fill the space with emotion and create a single alchemical element represented by those present. \nThis monthly event is focused on new achievements as a whole community. On this fun day\, everyone enjoys coming together and spending time as a community\, and a photograph is taken with all members of the Popolo. \nIf you are a member of the Popolo\, please join us! \nCan’t come to Damanhur to be a part of the photograph in person? Those who are not present on that day can email a photograph of themselves dressed in white at least 10 days before the event.
