SUMMARY:Celebrating 40 Years of Damanhur's Community School—LiberSchool
DESCRIPTION:May 9–10 — We invite alternative education enthusiasts\, parents\, and everyone who wants to help build a better world through education to celebrate 40 years of joy and learning at our family school: LiberSchool. \nForty years ago\, when Damanhur was only 11 years old\, a radical seed was planted: to take charge of our children’s education by creating a school that honored the divine nature of every child — a true alternative reflecting our vision of what humanity could become: free from conditioning\, fully recognizing and expressing our divine nature. \nThat seed grew into LiberSchool\, a Community School accompanying children from 6 months to 14 years old in their growth and learning journey. \nFor four decades\, LiberSchool has been one of Damanhur’s most transformative and demanding projects\, requiring resources\, sacrifice\, creativity\, love\, and an unwavering belief that another way of educating was not only possible\, but essential. And the results are heartwarming: today\, LiberSchool serves 75 children with 30 teachers and has become a choice for non-Damanhurian families as well. 60% of the children come from nearby villages and 40% from the Damanhur community\, with one third having at least one non-Italian parent — reflecting the school’s truly international environment. \nIn 2025\, LiberSchool reached another important milestone: it became a Gaia School\, certified by Gaia Education\, integrating the four dimensions of the ecovillage design framework — Social\, Ecological\, Economic\, and Worldview — into both our curriculum and daily school life. \nLiberSchool’s mission is to accompany children towards harmonious growth — physically\, emotionally\, intellectually\, and spiritually — awakening all aspects of themselves\, helping them discover who they are\, their talents\, their potential\, and their desires\, and learning to be happy in the world. Our pedagogy is experiential and personalized\, built on three main pillars: Travel\, Art & Nature. \nA school that has weathered challenges other family schools have not\, LiberSchool has much to offer the broader educational and parenting community. DESCRIPTION:Join the Event via Zoom by following this link [we will open Zoom a few minutes before the start] \n  \nThe event features a scientific paper by Luigi Barzano\, “In Damanhur Everything Is Art\,” published in the latest issue of the international magazine CROSSCURRENT\, which focuses on art in Damanhurian spirituality. \nSpeakers: \nLuigi Berzano\, sociologist of religions and professor emeritus at the University of Turin\, a leading figure in the scientific community\, particularly for his research on cultural and social transformations in relation to lifestyles and ways of experiencing spirituality. \nRoberto Mastroianni\, philosopher and Deputy Director of the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin. \nThe two academics will engage in dialogue with Damanhurian artists and intellectuals: Cobra Alloro\, a sculptor who created the imposing statues of the Damanhurian Temples; Stambecco Pesco\, a Damanhurian writer and intellectual; and Orango Riso\, a healer and President of the Vajne Damanhur APS. \nThe event is organized by the Liber School APS educational association\, which won the Foncoop avv. 61 call for proposals\, with the project SYNERGIES IN NETWORK FOR THE VALORIZATION OF CULTURAL HERITAGE. \nAmong its many activities\, the project includes a series of seminars dedicated to the Frontiers of Philosophy and AI. \nThis Saturday\, the 15th\, is the first of the series of scheduled conferences. \nThe event is open to the public\, and participants will be offered an aperitivo at the end. \nNote: CrossCurrent magazine is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the University of North Carolina Press and the Association for Public Religion and Intellectual Life (APRIL)\, an international research center that brings together scholars from various disciplines and explores philosophical and social issues at the intersection of religion\, culture\, art\, and forms of social organization. \nEvent organized by: Liber S aps – Via Baldissero 21\, 10080 Vidracco (TO). \n
