SUMMARY:Spring Equinox
DESCRIPTION:The ritual of marking the transition between seasons of the year has been carried out on all continents since the beginning of human history. \nAt Damanhur\, the Equinoxes and Solstices are particularly sacred times of the year. The entire community celebrates these important events inside large stone circles. During the days of the ritual\, a fire is lit to represent the sun. During the Solstice\, another second fire symbolizes the moon. The ritual is divided into three phases: lighting\, culmination\, and extinguishing of the fire. \nDamanhurians enter the circle wearing robes of varying colors\, according to their seniority. They offer herbs to the fires\, meditate\, sing\, and recite hymns and prayers composed by Damanhurians. Most phases of the rituals are accompanied by music and Sacred Dance. \nThese are joyful occasions\, and guests are also welcome to join in by registering in advance at the Damanhur Welcome Center. \nPrerequisites: Registration at the Welcome Center & prior visit to the Damjl area.

DESCRIPTION:The Popolo Consolidates its Collective Gifts\, Talents\, and Wisdom in a Sacred Container\nIn Damanhur’s sacred language\, the word “Get” means “god/force”; Damanhur Get represents the sacred force that the Popolo Spirituale creates and shares. During this ritual\, the Popolo’s collective talents\, gifts\, memories\, knowledge\, and other characteristics are consolidated\, offered up\, and sent into a common reservoir to be preserved and used later. Members of the Popolo can reach into this container and access any of these accumulated skills to enhance their own. \nThis beautiful ritual includes passing a reflecting mirror (with a Selfica instrument integrated into it) from one person to another. As each person “self-reflects”\, they connect more deeply with themselves and the important aspects of the soul. Typically\, participants receive higher guidance about themselves or about collective projects. The ritual concludes with everyone charging their Popolo bracelet (a simple pink string tied around your wrist) to fill the space with emotion and create a single alchemical element represented by those present. \nThis monthly event is focused on new achievements as a whole community. DESCRIPTION:The ritual of marking the transition between seasons of the year has been carried out on all continents since the beginning of human history. \nAt Damanhur\, the Equinoxes and Solstices are particularly sacred times of the year. The entire community comes together to celebrate these essential events inside large stone circles. During the days of the ritual\, a fire is lit to represent the sun. During the Solstice\, another second fire symbolizes the moon. The ritual is divided into three phases: lighting\, culmination\, and extinguishing of the fire. \nDamanhurians enter the circle wearing robes of varying colors\, according to their seniority. They offer herbs to the fires\, meditate\, sing\, and recite hymns and prayers composed by Damanhurians. Most phases of the rituals are accompanied by music and Sacred Dance. \nThese are joyful occasions\, and guests are also welcome to join in by registering in advance at the Damanhur Welcome Center. \nPrerequisites: Registration at the Welcome Center & prior visit to the Damjl area. \n

DESCRIPTION:The Popolo Consolidates its Collective Gifts\, Talents\, and Wisdom in a Sacred Container\nIn Damanhur’s sacred language\, the word “Get” means “god/force”; Damanhur Get represents the sacred force that the Popolo Spirituale creates and shares. During this ritual\, the Popolo’s collective talents\, gifts\, memories\, knowledge\, and other characteristics are consolidated\, offered up\, and sent into a common reservoir to be preserved and used later. Members of the Popolo can reach into this container and access any of these accumulated skills to enhance their own. \nThis beautiful ritual includes passing a reflecting mirror (with a Selfica instrument integrated into it) from one person to another. As each person “self-reflects”\, they connect more deeply with themselves and the important aspects of the soul. Typically\, participants receive higher guidance about themselves or about collective projects. The ritual concludes with everyone charging their Popolo bracelet (a simple pink string tied around your wrist) to fill the space with emotion and create a single alchemical element represented by those present. \nThis monthly event is focused on new achievements as a whole community. Integrated with the forces of the new millennium\, they speak with a united voice and serve to guide humanity for its highest good. The Oracle interacts with the branches of time\, moving events to create the conditions for our continual spiritual evolution. They provide answers and direction to those who wish to ask. \nEvery month on the full moon\, Damanhur recreates the Rite of the Oracle\, one of its most important ceremonies. Participants experience the beauty and intensity of the full moon’s energy. Since 1985\, the Way of the Oracle members have worked at this deep and dedicated ritual to bring forth messages from the divine forces. It is the public celebration of the answers channeled throughout the lunar month. The priestesses\, called Pythies\, lead us in the ceremony. SUMMARY:Commemoration of the Dead
DESCRIPTION:In addition to the Solstices and Equinoxes\, another important ritual at Damanhur is a celebration dedicated to the Commemoration of the Dead\, which occurs every year between late October and early November. \nAccording to Damanhur’s understanding\, the world of the “living” and the world of the “dead” are both expressions of spiritual life\, and at times\, it is possible to open a communication channel between these dimensions. Rituals are the most important moments of connection for both sending and receiving thoughts with Damanhur citizens who have passed\, as well as other loved ones who are no longer in physical form. It is an act of celebration for life in all its manifestations. \nAs with the Solstice and Equinox rituals\, the Commemoration of the Dead takes place in a stone circle around a fire\, with meditation\, prayer\, song\, and offerings to the fire. Damanhurians stand inside the huge stone circle\, each wearing a ritual robe\, and guests gather close around the outside of the circle. As the ceremony proceeds\, these moments become an opening of energy and emotion for everyone: the citizens of Damanhur\, guests\, and friends. \nGuests are also welcome to join by registering at the Damanhur Welcome Center. \nPrerequisites: Registration at the Welcome Center & prior visit to the Damjl area.

SUMMARY:Autumn Equinox
DESCRIPTION:The ritual of marking the transition between seasons of the year has been carried out on all continents since the beginning of human history. \nAt Damanhur\, the Equinoxes and Solstices are particularly sacred times of the year. The entire community celebrates these important events inside large stone circles. During the days of the ritual\, a fire is lit to represent the sun. During the Solstice\, another second fire symbolizes the moon. The ritual is divided into three phases: lighting\, culmination\, and extinguishing of the fire. \nDamanhurians enter the circle wearing robes of varying colors\, according to their seniority. They offer herbs to the fires\, meditate\, sing\, and recite hymns and prayers composed by Damanhurians. Most phases of the rituals are accompanied by music and Sacred Dance. \nThese are joyful occasions\, and guests are also welcome to join in by registering in advance at the Damanhur Welcome Center. \nPrerequisites: Registration at the Welcome Center & prior visit to the Damjl area.
