SUMMARY:Celebrate Summer Solstice in Damanhur
DESCRIPTION:The ritual of marking the transition between seasons of the year has been carried out on all continents since the beginning of human history.\n\nAt Damanhur\, we consider the Solstices to be particularly sacred times of the year. The entire community comes together to celebrate these important events inside large stone circles. During the days of the ritual\, a fire is lit to represent the sun and\, another second fire symbolizes the moon.\n\nDamanhurians enter the circle wearing robes of varying colors\, according to their seniority. They offer herbs to the fires\, meditate\, sing\, and recite hymns and prayers composed by Damanhurians. Most phases of the rituals are accompanied by music and Sacred Dance.\n\nThese are joyful occasions\, and you are welcome to join in by registering in advance at the Damanhur Welcome Center. Register at https://damanhur.travel/\n\nVisit to Damjl is a prerequisite to participating on the Great Ritual. Damjl is the capital of Damanhur and the place where the Summer Solstice is taking place. A visit of Damjl is organised at 10:00. For details please contact our Welcome Center at https://damanhur.travel/
